BYP is unique, being the only youth club in West Yorkshire which specialises in delivering all of its youth work through the performing arts. We combine the best bits of a theatre school and an amateur dramatics group in a youth club setting.

The Friends of Bradford Youth Players (BYP) is unique, being the only charity in West Yorkshire that uses the performing arts to deliver all of its charitable youth work. We are an independent, open-access organisation that provides opportunities for young people aged 7-25 to develop personal, social and transferrable skills alongside training in the performing arts, in order to increase confidence, ambition and aspirations, and to enable them to contribute positively to their communities and society.

What we can offer you

BYP has established and maintained a strong reputation for youth performing arts over the last 39 years, and the fact that we have managed to retain a small grant from Bradford Council is testament to our continued high standards and standing with the Council. We are well placed with respect to advertising our events in schools, academies, Further- and Higher-Education institutions in the city, and as a founder member of the Bradford Amateur Theatre Network, we also have excellent links into the local and wider regional performing-arts scene, a market with a large and diverse participant and audience base. Association with BYP therefore provides a unique opportunity to reach a broad population base including students and young people (and their parents), as well as presenting your company as a champion of the abilities and achievements of the young people of Bradford, the future of the city. We have four opportunities for companies to get involved with BYP, each of which is outlined below.

Sponsorship

As a sponsor you would receive:

  • An advertisement on the back of every show publicity flyer (up to four such events per year), of which 200-400 are distributed across the city in public places in the lead up to each large event.
  • Your logo and optional website address on all publicity posters for our large events (c.150 A3 & A4 per event), displayed across the city in public places, including schools, FE and HE institutions.
  • Your logo and optional website address on the front of every programme for our large events. Audiences of up to 200 per performance for each show (depending on venue), for a potential of around 1500 programmes.
  • A full page advert in each programme.
  • An announcement made at the beginning of each performance recognising you as a sponsor and bringing the audience's attention to what you and your company can do for them. Space can also be provided for a banner or stand for your company at our large events.
  • A link to your website from www.bradfordyouthplayers.co.uk, a professional-looking website that is the top hit on Google, Bing and Yahoo for both ‘youth theatre Bradford’ and ‘youth performing arts Bradford’.
  • Flyers for your company placed on every seat in the theatre for every night for a large show.
  • Tickets for you and a group of friends to watch the show!
  • Any other ideas you might have for publicity would also be very welcome, and we are open to any suggestions or changes to the packs you may have.

In return for the advertising and publicity above, we would be grateful for a one-off payment of 1000.

Support

As a supporter you would receive:

  • Your logo and optional website address on every show publicity flyer (up to four such events per year), of which between 200-400 are distributed across the city in public places in the lead up to each large event.
  • Your logo and optional website address on all A3 publicity posters for our large events (c. 50 per show), displayed across the city in public places, in schools, FE and HE institutions.
  • A full page advert in each programme for our large events. Audiences of up to 200 per performance for each show (depending on venue), for a potential of around 1500 programmes.
  • An announcement made at the beginning of each performance, recognising you as a supporter.
  • A link to your website from www.bradfordyouthplayers.co.uk, a professional-looking website that is the top hit on Google, Bing and Yahoo for both ‘youth theatre Bradford’ and ‘youth performing arts Bradford’.
  • Tickets for you and a group of friends to watch the show!
  • Any other ideas you might have for publicity would also be very welcome, and we are open to any suggestions or changes to the packs you may have.
