Bradford Youth Players (BYP) is a vibrant, performing arts-based youth club that uses drama, music, and dance as powerful tools for youth development. More than just a theatre group, BYP offers a supportive space where young people can express themselves, build confidence, and discover their creative potential.
Meeting every Tuesday evening, BYP gives young people regular opportunities to explore and develop their skills across the performing arts. Through dynamic workshops and rehearsals, members work towards a variety of productions — from full-scale musicals to intimate cabaret nights — allowing them to showcase their talents to live audiences.
Each group typically participates in several performances a year, with shows staged in local theatres when suitable funding allows. Over the years, BYP has brought its exciting performances to respected venues across Bradford, including the Bradford Playhouse (BD1), Henry Mitchell Hall at Bradford College (BD7), Lord Kalms Theatre (BD5), and the Hockney Theatre (BD9).
